What does a Data Analyst do?

The Data Analyst and Data Scientist are both data experts but have different key roles. Working in Data Analytics is basically analysing the data and drawing relevant insights in order to solve a problem. In other words, Data Analysts use the data to tell a story – “What business decisions can be made based on the numbers?” They are pros at revealing the data’s insights through reports and visualisations. If you need someone to help you understand a specific query with graphs or charts, then go see your Data Analyst!

Good Data Analysts have both technical and communication skills. This role requires to have a business, management, human resources or marketing profile, or work experience with analytic focus. Knowledge of the different languages and an intellectual curiosity are also “nice to have”! On the other hand, Data Scientists have strong mathematical, statistical and computer science skills that allow them to build algorithms.

This Master’s-level programme is not your typical Data Analytics programme. The content is richer and more wide-ranging than any other training that you can find, especially in business schools. This Applied MSc will allow you to boost your career by developing in-demand data analytics competencies that you will be able to bring to your current and future job.

Graduating from this Applied MSc in Data Analytics will allow you to accomplish more than what is expected from you and to become the version 2.0 of a Data Analyst.
